The long weekend is almost over (blah) and I’m happy to say that it was a pretty relaxing one! It was the perfect balance of binge-watching on Netflix and hanging out with family and friends. Since it’s been so warm here in Toronto, I’ve really been enjoying whipping out some cute spring dresses, and finally being able to show some skin as opposed to being completely wrapped up in a parka (definitely do not miss that). If only Spring weather could stay forever.
I’m not one to hate Mondays. I actually really enjoy the beginning of a new week. It just always feels like a fresh start. A fresh start for all the goals you have put in place for yourself. Maybe you were hoping to start the beginning of your week right by hitting that spin class, or you look forward to your morning stroll to a local coffee shop for a fresh brew. I love Mondays. This Monday, I went to work as usual and on my way home, I picked up our wedding album! So exciting! It turned out so incredibly beautiful. Honestly, our photographers are such artists. With wedding season starting up again, I’m going to continue with my Wedding Planning 101 series. If you want to see more of my tips and wedding photos from our special day, definitely subscribe to both the blog and my youtube channel!
Wednesday was filled with appointments, and I shot for the blog a bit. Nothing too crazy. It was such a beautiful day in Toronto, so I wore this new green dress that I got from Stelly. Stelly is an Australian brand that I discovered a few weeks ago. They have the most adorable summer pieces. When it comes to clothing, I’ve never been one to gravitate towards green so I was really surprised when I picked up this piece, and oh my gosh…I fell completely in love with this color.
Thursday was a work day! I was in the office all day, however since the long weekend was approaching, the day was rather slow and I was able to leave work a bit earlier. Since I did leave earlier, I decided to go get my nails done. Ps. has anyone had shellac pedicure done? I’ve always just had a regular pedicure because the polish usually lasts really long on my toes, and I never really saw the point of shellac on my toes for that reason. I’m going on vacation in June and I wanted to make sure that my polish would last for my trip so I thought I would give a shellac pedicure a go. Let me know if you’ve ever tried a shellac pedicure and if it lasts super long.
Finally, the long weekend! After this ootd, I just chilled and celebrated my husbands birthday a bit earlier, so this is what I wore on Friday! On Friday, I worked for a few hours and then went for dinner with my husband to Baton Rouge for some ribs and chicken fingers 😉. SO. GOOD.
