Here’s to the Pieces I Never Thought I’d Wear

Hi Angels!

Today I am talking about all things Cheetah! Yup. You read that right. I never thought those words would come out of my mouth. To be completely honest with you, I was never a big animal print gal. My closet would consist of mostly neutrals and denim (which is still about 80% of my closet). Lately, I’ve been loving playing with different prints and textures. What can I say, I’m a new woman!

When it comes to introducing a new print into my wardrobe, first I think about what is initially in my closet and how I can make that print work with what I already have. Especially if it’s more of a trend, I want to make sure that I already have the pieces widely available to style the trend with. This is when your staples really come into play. When I first saw this skirt, which is from Zara by the way… I knew that I would want to pair it with something more neutral. I wanted the focal point of this outfit to be the skirt. I took one of my, very versatile, pieces and turned this daunting trend into something more wearable for me.

Classic With a Twist

I recently bought this blouse, from NA-KD and I knew that it would be the most perfect top to pair with this skirt. I actually had yet to find a white blouse that I absolutely loved until I found this one. I have never been a fan of a plain white blouse but seeing how it is such a staple in a wardrobe, I knew I needed to find one that worked best for my style. When I saw the ruffle detail on the sleeves, I knew it was a winner.

Add a Sneaker and BOOM! Thank you, next.

In Cristina fashion, I could not wear this outfit without a pair of white sneakers. NEVER did I ever think I would be on board with the dad sneakers trend. When I first saw the Balenciaga Triple S  sneakers, I could not help but laugh. I wondered why on earth is this sneaker back in our lives? WHAT IS EVERYONE SMOKING? But then I saw them styled with an oversized pullover sweater dress and just knew I had to get in on this trend. Never say never I guess, right?

Ok, I need to know… are you avid print users or am I the only one who was in the dark? I’m officially on the hunt for a print pant to get me through the rest of the season. Leave your faves down below.

Until next time…
